Lironi Training Fund

Perennial is the national charity for everyone who works, or has worked, in horticulture.  We are here for people of all trades in horticulture, and of all ages As well as our other services we offer a range of training grants.

Perennial's Lironi training fund was established in 2009.  Recognising the need to encourage and retain horticultural excellence the charity is making a long term contribution to the horticultural sector through the funding of a number of training initiatives.

In keeping with the charity's aims the initiatives are available to horticultural students and in some cases those already working in horticulture, who for whatever reason, are in need of financial support for training that is not available from any statutory source.

Bursaries available from the Lironi Training Fund include:

One-year work placements following successful completion of an academic horticultural qualification

One-year traineeship at Perennial's York Gate Garden in Leeds

Sons and daughters awards

Hardship awards for existing horticultural students

Funding for short courses

Awards for retraining within or outside of horticulture for horticulturists following an accident or ill health
